In 2006 he went back to school to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Utica College which he completed in 2009, as part of the second graduating DPT class from Utica College. While in graduate school he continued working part time as a PTA and certified personal trainer. For the next 8 years he would be the clinical manager at the Function Better Herkimer office serving Herkimer and the many surrounding communities. Dr. Kress took pride in building relationships with the citizens, physicians, nurses, and community groups where he worked and lived while making his home for his family in Little Falls, NY. Over the years he has furthered his education in advancements of the shoulder and knee, vestibular rehabilitation, and the McKenzie Method for back and neck pain. He has been an adjunct instructor at Herkimer College for their Physical Therapist Assistant program and is part of the PTA programs advisory committee along with being an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA). Outside of work he has a personal interest in youth sports having coached his daughters in softball and basketball focusing on skill development, conditioning, and injury prevention for youth. He is a member of the Little Falls Elks Lodge #42, and active in the LF Youth Basketball and Softball Leagues. In 2018 he took the initiative to open Kress Physical Therapy in Little Falls, NY with the hopes of continuing to serve and give back to his community by promoting and preserving the health and well being of his patients in the Little Falls/Mohawk Valley area. A native of Richfield Springs, NY he resides in Little Falls with his wife Christina and his girls Olivia, Kylie, Alexis and Addisyn.
